PandemoniUM

PandemoniUM, the most eclectic co-ed a cappella group at the University of Maryland, has been performing without the help of instruments for 22 years. Our extensive set includes songs by many artists from a wide range of genres. With a passion for creating beautiful music, these pandas love to perform at public or private events (e.g. marriage proposals, weddings) on, and off-campus anywhere in the DC-Baltimore area. We also visit other universities (we love meeting new a cappella groups).

PandemoniUM has also competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) for many years. In 2010, PandemoniUM was awarded first place at ICCA South Quarterfinals and advanced to Semifinals. Additionally, members Alex Brown, and Suzanne DeStio were awarded with Outstanding Arrangement for “Chicago/Clocks.” In 2014, PandemoniUM placed third in the ICCA South Quarterfinal where Alex Moss was awarded Outstanding Vocal Percussion. In 2016, PandemoniUM was awarded first place at the ICCA Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals and advanced to Semifinals where they took 3rd place. Additionally, PandemoniUM members Tiffany Bamdad, Tami Olafunmiloye, and Taylor Sheely were awarded with Outstanding Choreography for the enitre set, and Valen Gordon was awarded with Outstanding Soloist for the arrangement "Weight in Gold."

The Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) chose to feature “Breathe Me” by PandemoniUM in 2009. In 2014, PandemoniUM sang their Justin Timberlake Medley and “What Now” by Rihanna live on University of Maryland’s WMUC Radio Station. We also had the amazing opportunity of singing for The Tommy Show Live on 94.7 fresh FM in December of 2015.
